We now have a hope of saying “Bye Julia” once and for all. Please contact your local Labor MP and make it known that we do not want Julia Gillard as Prime Minister of this country.

Unless those who will be voting tomorrow morning have had their heads in the sand for the past week (which is a distinct possibility) it is obvious to all and sundry that the majority of people (by a landslide)want Kevin Rudd back in the top job.
The people voted him, they never wanted him to go and they want him back. If the Labor Party choose to ignore this and vote for Ms Gillard, who the people don’t want, it will be blatantly obvious that they don’t care about what the people want. This will be the downfall of their party and they can kiss the next election goodbye.
If Labor are not going to listen to what the people want you can guarantee votes will go elsewhere! If this happens I imagine the greens will receive a phenomenal amount of votes in the next election.
Come on Labor party, listen to the people … the people you are meant to be serving!
I have voted Labor for 35 years. I even volunteer to hand out how to vote cards rain, hail or shine.
If Julia Gillard is re-elected tomorrow I will tear up my ALP membership and never vote Labor again.
I have never seen a person leading this country with such poor communication, lack of vision and lack for fortitude. I want her gone and I want her gone now.
Most of my friends in my local ALP branch feel the same way as me. We had a drink at the pub tonight and out of 25 people just 2 wanted Julia Gillard re-elected tomorrow. Many said this is a last straw for them and they will leave the party if Julia Gillard remains PM.
Steve
29 year veteran of the ALP.
Steve mate you are not alone. On the phone with a few people from our branch tonite. If Gillard wins will ring ALP head office and cancel my membership. My mates agree too. Nobody listens to what the rank and file want anymore. I’ve only been a party member for 14 years but one bloke I spoke to has had 41 years of membership and said enough is enough. He is irate that nobody listens anymore so he will resign as branch secretary tomorrow if Gillard wins.
Julia Gillard says: “You don’t look at the opinion polls to work out what you believe in and what the nation needs. You look inside yourself, to your core beliefs, to your core Labor beliefs and then you go and get it done.”
…and she should have continued with:
……..”and inside myself, I have a core belief that we should bend and pry the legal system as far as it can go without snapping, in order to keep those pesky asylum seekers off our shores….and that gays shouldn’t have the same rights as the rest of us”.
I am so sick of this whole grubby business. Julia is really unpopular, most Aussies want her to go but she wont. Then people who sound like they have given their lifes works to their party are saying they will leave ? 2 words needed here GRASS ROOTS. Cut away your grass roots support and you dont have a party to elect anymore.
Just bugger off Julia or call an election. You were a novelty for a while first woman prime minister and all but jesus what will it take for you to understand the public hate you ?
i have voted labour all my life, i never wanted kevin to leave, he has been the best pm ever, we dont need julia to stuff this country, bring back kevin
Sent this email to my local member and Qld senators today:
Subject: ALP has lost my vote
Clearly the light on the hill has been extinguished. For the caucus to so blatantly ignore the wishes of the Australian people is the last straw for me.
Unless there is a radically unexpected outcome tomorrow in favour of Kevin Rudd I will be preferencing my local ALP candidate LAST for a very long time.
I tried to express my view to your office by phone on Friday and I was essentially told that my opinion didn’t count because I was not a member of the ALP. Why would I bother to become one? Your members have no voice either.
Labor is beyond saving. Nothing short of a breakaway party could resurrect it now.
I’m from WA out of Perth , voted Labor all my life as has my wife and my brother. The 3 of us will never vote Labor again if that bimbo pretending to be a PM gets back in. We want Kevin Rudd back. We think dumping him was a big mistake just look what happened in 2010 we almost lost the election. How bad will it be next time around ?
If Julia gets back in it will be political suicide for the ALP. I dont want her – my kids dont want her – my mum doesnt want her and my kids friends dont want her. thats 3 generations of adults who vote who are really pissed off with Julia. Kevin Rudd for PM or dont look for my vote next election.
I have voted Labor all my life but after what happened to Kevin Rudd I no longer do. How can we hold trust in the ALP to act in the best interests of our country when they are happy to boot the PM like that? What about discussion, unity, trust, teamwork?
Give Kevin his job back, that’s who we all voted for.
How much longer do we have to put up with the ‘faceless men’ of the ALP making our decisions for us? They are only out for their own personal gain. Julia has gone back on promises time after time. The average Australian family gets hit and is much worse off since she took over and the politicians get richer and richer!!
The public has told the ALP what we want, it is time for them to listen.
If Julia wins tomorrow, I will never vote ALP again!
If the current snake in the grass prime minister and her minions won’t listen to the people, then I will vote liberal from now on.. Massive ALP supporter until today.
How dare she not listen to her people. You’ve just shown you have no interest in what your country wants, only what suits you and your minions.. Well you and your minions are goin to be out of a job in 18 months..
If you win today Julia, you’ve lost 10 ALP supporters in this family. Perhaps you should have LISTENED to those opinion polls after all you selfish git!
I am now no longer a member of the ALP. Over the past 29 years our voices at branch level are never heard. We go to meetings, pass resolutions, then get dumped with someone we don’t like we are bullied into voting for in preselection. It’s over for me. The real Labor Party is dead, it is now just a vehicle for professional political opportunists to further their own power ambitions.
Next election I’ll be handing out how to vote cards still, but not for the ALP, for the Greens.
