Australians need a Government they can trust – and trust is built through consistency.
Unfortunately, the Australian public has lost trust in the current Government and this comes from a history of inconsistencies. These inconsistencies date back as far as May 2010 when Julia Gillard suggested there was a higher probability of her being selected as full forward for the Western Bulldogs than there was of an ALP leadership change. A month later, in June 2010, Julia nominated for leadership of the ALP. We know from recent reports that this change in leadership was in preparation a number of weeks prior to the actual change.
This was the first of the great inconsistencies.
Julia Gillard justified this change on the claim that she was better qualified than Kevin Rudd to lead the ALP to victory at the next election. What actually played out – a hung parliament, was a disaster for the ALP.
